Commander Jafari: The Big Art Is To Act Based on Martyrs Behavior

According to the reporter of Navideshahed; a memorial ceremony was held for honoring Commander Martyr Mahdi Bakeri, Commander of Division 31 Ashoura in Great Hall of Ministry of State on Thursday evening. Commander Sarlashgar Mohammad Ali Jafari, General Commander of Sepah (The Army of the Guardians of the Islamic Revolution) delivered speech at this ceremony and offered his condolences on the occasion of anniversary of demise of Hazrat Mohammad, martyrdom of Imam Hasan Mojtaba and Imam Reza. He said: “At this critical moment, what we should know is the fact that today’s achievements of Islamic Revolution are the results of epic and self sacrifice of Islam combatants during sacred defense. And today’s security is unique during history of Iran.”? Enemies of Iranian people are worried about existing of security in Islamic Iran; consequently, they have settled in all borders around Iran with all their equipments. They have surrounded Iran militarily in order that the voice of Islam and message of Islamic Revolution cannot be heard. They don’t even dare to threaten, Commander Jafari added. Enemies don’t aim at Iraq and Afghanistan by staying around Iran; but it is an excuse to damage Iran. And Islamic Revolution will not withdraw its mottos, he said. Commander Jafari referred to Iranian people’s resistance against plots of Islamic Revolution enemies and said: “Martyrs wanted us, as followers of Imam Khomeini and Islamic Revolution, not to leave the leader alone and support the Islamic Revolution. And Iranian people know this fact. The powerful and glorious participation of people in different social events for defending Islamic Revolution including participating at elections and demonstration of February 11th (The anniversary of victory of Islamic Revolution) are examples of this knowledge. The demonstration on February 11th is held more glorious every year.”? In another part of his speech, Commander Jafari referred to Martyr Bakeri and said: “Bakeri was one of the stars in management and commandership during sacred defense. Everyone was waiting for Bakeri’s opinion in operation meetings and during critical moments. Other commanders described this martyr as an efficient, revolutionary and moral man who thought about future. Martyr Ahmad Kazemi loved Martyr Bakeri’s behavior. And all martyrs tried to behave like him until he was alive.”? Commander Jafari further referred to Martyr Mahdi Bakeri’s activities before start of the imposed war and said: “This martyr provided considerable services to settle security in Kordestan Province. After going to battle fields, he became the commander of division in a short time. He was a different commander and considered himself in presence of God. We should see what duties we have among Imam Khomeini and martyrs today if we want their souls to be satisfied with us. Martyrs would behave different from us if they were alive now. And they would be pioneers in revolutionary movements and supporting people.”? Some people analyze and judge based on western models. That is while we should fulfill objectives of Islamic Revolution and know that Islamic Revolution is not separated from pure Islam of Hazrat Mohammad if we have a deep analysis on Islam and the culture of Ashoura and learn from them, he mentioned. In conclusion, Commander Jafari said: “Jihad in the way of God is the same way that is told by Koran and Shiite imams. And we should be strong in this way. And we should be sure that this Islamic Revolution will reach to the hands of its main owner.”? He referred to characteristics of Martyr Bakeri and said: “His effective relation with clergymen, the Supreme Leader in particular, is one of his characteristics. Although some people question the fact, one of the documents of SAVAC (Former intelligence service in Iran) shows that it is reported Mahdi Bakeri along with his brother Ali Bakeri met the Supreme Leader.”? Martyrs from Bakeri family were followers of the Supreme Leader before victory of Islamic Revolution too. Those people who question this part of life of Martyr Bakeri family’s martyrs don’t judge fairly. As another characteristic, I can refer to his attention to national treasury. Fighting battalions usually replaced during the imposed war. And Martyr Bakeri personally collected and delivered properties remained from each battalion. He never accepted any inattentiveness in this regard. He always said that people buy these goods with their own coupons and send them to battle fields; so no one has the right to destroy them.”? Commander Pourjamshidian carried out cultural activities of Division 31 Ashoura during commandership of Martyr Bakeri. In conclusion, he said: “Those who carry out cultural activities should work day and night.”?
