Investigating and Comparing Depression of the Shahed Male and Female Students with That of the Non _ Shahed Students of Isfahan in 1993 _ 1994

Since the death of father as a variable can be effective on Depression, the present research is intended to investigate depression among shahed and non _ shahed male and female high school students of Isfahan and compare it with that of non _ shahed high school students at the same grade.
The methodology of the research is causative comparative (post occurrence). The population of the research is composed of all the high school students of Isfahan studying in 1993 _ 1994 from among whom the researcher has chosen 120 male and female shahed and non _ shahed students categorically. The means of the research is CDS _ A questionnaire. In order to analyze the data collected descriptive statistics and analysis of variance was used.
The results indicate that the degree of depression among the shahed students is more than that of the non _ shahed students.
In addition the differences between the degree of depression among shahed female students in comparison to that of the non _ shahed female students and the degree of depression among shahed male students in comparison to that of the non _ shahed male students have been meaningful statistically.
