The main question of the research is to identify the rate of leaving school among shahed students (male and female) in 1991 _ 2001 in Ghaemshahr. The research methodology is statistical and in order to gather information the researcher made use of questionnaire.
The community of research includes all the shahed students of Ghaemshar who have left school during 1991 _ 2001; all the cases were studied. The results indicate that:
1.There is meaningful relation between failure in education, one’s peers, family misfortunes and leaving school.
2.There is not meaningful relation between having motivation to study and leaving school.
3.There is not meaningful relation between emotional environment of the schools and leaving school.
4.There is meaningful relation between the contents of the text books, culture and information of the parents, and economical status of the family with leaving school.
5.There is not meaningful relation between having gender and leaving school.
