The present research is aimed at investigating the new structure where mother has remarried and it is intended to survey its effects on the ethical judgment of the children. The research methodology is descriptive and of causative _ comparative kind. The statistical research community includes all the shahed secondary and high school students in 1999 _ 2000 in all the seven areas of Mashhad among whom the researcher has chosen 120 students categorically (60 male and female students who have step fathers 60 female students who do not have step fathers). The means of the research includes Kattal’s Intelligence Test and Kohlberg’s Ethical Judgment Test.
The results of the research show that:
1.There is not meaningful difference between the changes in the ethical condition of the clever shahed students who have step fathers and those who do not.
2.In surveying the correlation of intelligence and ethical change it was clarified that the more the intelligence, the more the ethical judgment increases.
3.There is not meaningful difference between the level of the ethical judgment of the clever shahed students who have step fathers and those who do not.
4.There is a meaningful relationship between recognition growth and the level of the ethical judgment of the clever shahed students who have step fathers and those who do not.
