Specialized Library of Isar and Martyrdom Inaugurated in Chaharmahal-va-Bakhtiari

According to the reporter of Navideshahed from Chaharmahal-va-Bakhtiari; Bahram Davoudi, Deputy Head of “Martyr Foundation and Isargaran Affairs”? of Chaharmahal-va-Bakhtiari for Research and Cultural Relations delivered speech at the inauguration ceremony of this library and said: “We felt there was a missing ring in conducting research activities. And it was having no access to basic and pure information about the culture of isar (Self sacrifice) and martyrdom for interested people. We hope that this vacuum is filled in this province with inaugurating this library.”? By allocating a budget of 100 million Rials, basic sources and equipments as well as hardware sources were prepared for this library. And software is gradually being obtained too, he added. Davoudi further said: “The specialized library of the province has 2400 books with 50 general titles and 9 categorized subjects. 10 titles of books in this library have been written by authors of the province.”? Davoudi further referred to software section at the side of the library and said: “There are 350 CDs about important martyrs of the country and province in this library. Parts of these CDs are films, stories or video clips that are produced inside this province or in other provinces.”? There are 67 magazines, weekly and quarterly in this library. Different age groups of children, teenagers, youth and adults, all sectors of the society in general, have been considered as the clients of this library, he mentioned. Davoudi continued: “The Specialized Library of Isar and Martyrdom has 14 university theses and researches which have been conducted in the province. The library has different books with 9 following subjects: Knowledge of isar and martyrdom, methodology of research in the field of isar, isar and martyrdom through the history, history of Islam, contemporary history of Iran and other nations, and isar and martyrdom in art and literature.”? As for other subjects of books in the library, Davoudi referred to isar and martyrdom as viewed by legal laws and related regulations in Iran and international law, comparative studies, isar and martyrdom as viewed culturally and socially, isar and martyrdom in religious sources, Islamic sources and sources of other Godly religions. Davoudi further referred to advantages of this library and said: “This library collects articles from conferences, meetings, seminars and different articles. It also collects performance report of organizations and centers which are related to Isargaran. It collects subjects about Isargaran as individual and as a society. And there are general books about important and famous martyrs. It also introduces books with subjects of isar and martyrdom.”? We intend to increase the number of books in the library. There has been a considerable raise in writing books in “Martyr Foundation and Isargaran Affairs”? of the province this year. And there are 6 books being published in the Research Deputy of the foundation at the present time, Davoudi said. In conclusion Davoudi said: “In addition to the library, we also intend to design a website for interested people in order that researcher and interested people can access research sources in the field of war and sacred defense.”?
