Classification of the Subjects about Martr and Martyrdom in Nahj Al Balagheh

The present research aims at investigating the concepts of martyr and martyrdom and their classification in Nahj Al Balagheh. The research methodology is library study; the topics that would be discussed in this research are as follow: Nahj Al Balagheh brother of Qur’an, what martyrdom is, who a martyr is, description of martyrdom, Imam Ali’s (AS) enthusiasm for martyrdom, encouraging the other companions toward martyrdom and jihad, the fate of the martyr and fighting for God, characteristics of fighting and martyrdom, martyrdom and fighting and having strong reasons for doing so, remembering and holding the martyrs of Islam honorable, and Imam’s prediction about martyrdom of some people in near future.
The sources that were used for this research are: Holy Qur’an, An interpretation of Nahj Al Balagheh by Saied Ali Al Naghi Faz Al Islam, An interpretation of Nahj Al Balagheh by Ibne Abi Alhadid, Behar Al Anvar by Allame Majlesi, An interpretation of Nahj Al Balagheh by Saied Mahmoud Taleghani.
