Iylam memorial sites need renovation
TEHRAN, (SCIB) - A sum of more than Rls. 20 billion is needed for the renovation of the memorial sites of Iylam, head of the province’s office of the foundation of martyrs and veterans’ affairs told Shahed.
“Out of 97 memorial sites built for the martyrs of the province, 81 need re-construction and renovation”? Abdollah Taj Far noted. “The sites need re-organization, beautification as well as a new architecture due to their old age. None of these memorial sites are ceiled so far because of a shortage of budget.”? he added. In the previous year, only Rls. 3 billion was spent on the organization of these memorial sites from the travel budget of the Government’s delegation to the province. He called for more budgets to be allotted to the reconstruction project. The province of Iylam has contributed more than 2600 martyrs, 10000 injured war veterans as well as 330 former prisoners of war to the sacred defense.
