Saffar Harandi “Cultural development indebted to martyrs’ sacrifice”?

TEHRAN, (SCIB) - The minister of Islamic culture and guidance emphasizes that currently the country’s cultural development is indebted to the martyrs’ sacrifice and that the cultural figures owe everything they have to the families of the martyrs.

Mohammed Hussein Saffar Harandi addressed a number of martyrs’ families on Friday in Shahrud. He said: ‘ the 9th administration is proud of polishing the main messages of the Revolution heard from the founder of the Islamic Revolution and today I am conveying the presidency’s respect to the artists of Shahrud.’ Referring to the Mersad operation in which a number of the culture ministry staff attained martyrdom, the culture minister said: ‘the Mersad Operation was lonely days for cultivated Iranians and today thanks to the sacrifice of the martyrs the Islamic Iran is striving toward development.’ The minister noted: the main objective of the ministry is to promote Islamic and Iranian ideals as well as localizing cultural and art products.’ Saffar Harandi added: ‘Over the past year the country’s cultural sector was witness to a great development in the field of software.
