Firoozi: Photographs, evidence of Iranian rightfulness

TEHRAN, (SCIB) - Veteran press photographer, Behzad Firoozi, called Iranian war photographs the best evidence of the rightfulness of the Iranian nation.

“The exhibition ‘Art of Sacrifice’ is a valuable step in honouring the activities to document important events in the history of Iran. Artistic events like these can be very useful in keeping up and spreading this culture in the future.”? Firoozi said, while visiting the exhibition. “Although it was not within the responsibilities of the Foundation of Martyrs and Veterans Affairs to conduct the exhibition “Khoramshahr, epic of Resistance”?, the foundation took active part in the event and conducted in a proper manner.”? He added. “Photographs expose the viewer to the actual event without any intermediary element. I have worked in cinema as well, but I enjoy photography much more.”? “When the Russian Czar was defeated and Communist took over, there were plenty of books and documentaries produced. Iran, however, hasn’t been able to collect all the documentary works produced during the war, despite the great number of the country’s martyrs”? “If we are to confront the enemy’s cultural invasion, we have to cleanse our inner selves. It is not fair that Iranian cities involved in the war do not enjoy proper urban facilities despite the significant progress that Iran has made after the war”? he concluded.
