Sacred Defense, example of national unity

TEHRAN, (SCIB) - The eight years of the sacred defense manifested a perfect example of national unity, Hojat-Ol-Islam Pazouki told Shahed reporter.

In an exclusive interview with Shahed Cultural Information Base, Hojat-Ol-Islam Ali Karbalee Pazouki called martyrdom a gift from God. “It is a gift bestowed by God only upon those who deserve it”? he said. “The real martyr is one who has consciously stepped into the path of God. He has aimed to please the God, to renew God’s religion and Islamic teachings, to guard God’s values. He moves on with faith in God and his values”? The faculty member of Allameh University pointed out some ways of institutionalizing the culture of martyrdom. “The culture of martyrdom will be institutionalized in the youth by strengthening their religious beliefs, helping to relieve their mental preoccupations and careful planning.”? Martyrdom needs both love and awareness, the university professor believes. “When people are made aware, the love forms in them. Education and love complement each other. It is only with the fulfillment of both requirements that one leaves the material world behind and sacrifices oneself for the God”? he concluded.
