1st Multimedia CD with the Subject of “Imam Khomeini and Aashoura Culture”?
TEHRAN,(SCIB) - “Aashoura Fountain”? is the name of a CD provided by “Publication and Organizing Institute of Imam Khomeini Works”? and is about introducing Imam Khomeini’s character and his relation with “Aashoura”? (Aashoura is the 10th day of Moharram when Imam Hossein was martyred) culture, Shahed Cultural Information Base reported.
The CD is consisted of several parts. For instance the audio and video part includes over 40 lectures of Imam Khomeini, “Rozehkhani”? (narrating the tragedies of Karbala) by Mr. Kowsari and Mr. Falsafi, reading poems at the presence of Imam Khomeini, mourning in “Jamaran Hosseinieh”? (The place where Imam Khomeini met people) and Imam Khomeini Holy Shrine, “Aashoura Fountain”? film, etc. There are hundreds of artistic pictures such as paintings, calligraphy, designs and posters with the subject of Imam Khomeini in the “Picture Gallery”? of the CD. The books and articles at the “library”? of the CD are such as “Aashoura Movement”? book, over 300 articles and interviews collected from “International Congress of Imam Khomeini and Aashoura Culture”?, the quarterly magazine of “Hozour”? (Presence) and bibliography of Aashoura. Other parts of the CD are such as selected documents from SAVAK (the organization which was in charge of security affairs in Iran before Islamic Revolution), brief words of Imam Khomeini about Aashoura, memories of different people regarding Imam Khomeini’s efforts to hold mourning ceremonies for Imam Hussein and also his endeavors for pilgrim. The mentioned CD has been prepared by “Publication and Organizing Institute of Imam Khomeini Works”?. It has been distributed by “Oroouj Publication and Printing Institution”?.
