Martyr Vali Allah Cheraghi

started his activities at the Army.
Navideshahed – Vali Allah Cheraghi, the commander of Nasr 5th battalion (Islamic Revolution Guard Corps) was born in 1958 in Mashhad (religious city in Iran).
He grew in a religious family. After the elementary school, he had started the primary level at the math field finally he entered at the Birjand University in the science engineering field. Before the Islamic Revolution victory with the leadership of Imam Khomeini, He had improved his religious – political activities and stood against the Pahlavi regime eagerly. When the universities were closed in 1978 – 1979, He had started his activities at the Army. During the years he had left university and hired Islamic Revolution Guard Corps. At the beginning of the imposed war, he went to the forefront and stood against the Bathi forces.
Here is a list which shows his responsibilities during the 8 – year sacred defense:
1) Battalion commander
2) plane and operation commander of IRGC
3) the commander of 5th Nasr operation
4) the deputy commander of 5 Nasr battalion
All his friends believed that martyr Cheraghi was an organized person. All the commanders accepted His plane for the Bostan operation since his plane was very precise.
If we want to describe his characteristics we can say that, he was a modest person. He was too faithful and never got angry even under the heavy pressure of his works. He never left the night prayer during the sacred defense, he loved Imam Khomeini very much and followed Imam in every circumstances.
He got married in 1982. Before his marriage, he told his wife that you should be agree with my presence in the forefront. After 4 days from their marriage he returned to the front line. He injured At the Chazzabeh operation but never moved back. In an operation a bullet war hit his back which could hurt his heart… that's no matter… it's okay… I feel good over and over repeated it.
Finally a bullet war hit Vali Allah Cheraghi's head, he was martyred at the Tehran Martyrs Hospital in 1985. His pure body was buried at the Behesht e Reza(AL) martyr's cemetery.
