The funeral procession of the ethics teacher and scholar was held at the University of Tehran this morning with the participation of his family members as well as the country’s officials and a large number of the late cleric’s students and devotees.
His body was later taken to Rey, Southern Tehran, to be laid to rest in the mausoleum of Hazrat Abdul-Azim Hassani (AS).
Ayatollah Khoshvaght, who had travelled to Saudi Arabia for Umrah (minor Hajj), passed away on Wednesday, February 20, in the holy city of Makkah after being hospitalized for respiratory problems.
