The Night Basijis Disgraced Death

Navideshahed: Suddenly something on the barbed wires absorbed my attention. A war veteran had jumped on the barbed wires in order the other war veterans to step on his body and cross the barbed wires. My knees slackened. I was stepping on the body of a guy and also another guy in the next step.

According to Fars News Agency Epic and Resistance Team, reviewing the memories of war veterans specially those memories that are related to the operation nights has a special beauty and something which can not be explained properly at all. These issues are really interesting for the readers of the young generation. The following memory that you read it is a part of a memory notebook of martyr Yahya Ameri whose father was also martyred during the Sacred Defense Era as well:

It was a tough night. It was the night of the military operation ‘Valfajr 6’ and the weather was so cold in a way that we could feel the coldness in our bones and our bodies had got senseless due to intense cold; but since we had a passion to take part in the operation, a special fire had been created in our hearts in a way that seemed Imam Hussein (AS) was waiting for us…

Imam Khomeini expects us to do this operation successfully and he has so many hopes in his heart about us. The martyrs’ families are waiting that we delight them; we felt warm. We would be warmed up in a way that we would feel the hotness. When you have a very strong belief, when your heart is not compromised, you can see that the death is disgraced too…

You only need to make the death to stop on the ground, so that the sky will open its arms for the bodies and corpses of the children of her Excellency Zahra (S) and to caress us. After that the heaven and angels group by group hug us. Each of us has an angel which will descend on his body; but I myself still did not know which part of the angel I had been pasted to and how much they will accompany my body into the heaven.

It was a bit rainy. We were getting prepared gradually. The boots laces would not be tied as the hearts and our feet would slip in the boots, but our hearts never slipped. Our hearts did not slip, because we had forgotten about the world and its belongings and all the materialistic things and we had become so light and ready for the martyrdom. We could not wait for the demand of our commander. For the movement it was not clear that how much walking will be continued in the operation war zones. Therefore everyone was whispering something. Some also had a dream until awakening in order to empower themselves. Some persons were performing Ashuraei prayer and they were happy for what they would do and what they would take to the resurrection world.

No death will end the world, but I was waiting for the end of my own world and my martyrdom would be considered as a point of its beginning and end. Everything had been collapsed at one place in me. I observed an old man who was trembling due to coldness. I gave my own blanket to him in order to make him sleep so comfortably so in order to prevent the hurting of the coldness, I would walk. In fact I walked and walked in order to warm up in order my heart to stay strong and firm. I did not want my heart to shake, I thought if my body to tremble is better than my heart to do that.

The time of operation started and we moved. We were moving inside the valleys of the river and since we did not have dishes, some of the war veterans had put the foods inside their hats or mufflers. We had to move in a way that the enemy not to notice our movement, otherwise we would face with the enemy’s ambush and then they would drop so much fires on us.

When we arrived to the barbed wires, it was a landmine and unfortunately the military operation had been revealed; it means the enemy was waiting for us and we needed to cross the barbed wires through a column. After that we needed to move so slowly.

Suddenly something on the barbed wires absorbed my attention. A war veteran had jumped on the barbed wires in order the other war veterans to step on his body and cross the barbed wires. My knees slackened. I was stepping on the body of a guy and also another guy in the next step.

I walked until the end of the landmine in a dizzy and shocked condition and I only asked God not to see such scenes anymore. The bloody bodies had died on the barbed wires and they had been martyred and I did not have this opportunity to see their wounded bodies and to return to my home.

I said myself: My dear God, I ask you not to take me back home. After that behind the barbed wires, I observed two guys had had sat down near each other. I told them now it is not the time of sitting. They said, you should go, we will come after you. I sat down and I told them: look at that direct located behind you. Some fellow men like you have crept on the barbed wires and they have disgraced death. I stretched my hand in order to raise their heads. I told them, have you been tired?

When I looked at them so carefully, I got so shocked. Both of them had been badly injured and the blood had covered all of their bodies. They had sat down in order to avoid others notice this issue and they did not wish to weaken others spirits and they did not wish to take the time of other war veterans in order to return their injured bodies. They were tolerating their wounds. I said myself: Dear God, what are these signs that you show in my way? I got so sorry and shameful because at first I did not notice that both of them had been injured and quivers had hit their stomach and chest. After a few minutes, the enemy dropped so many fires on the Iranian war veterans.

Also another landmine was in the next location. All of us had been stopped in that land and we were waiting that the landmine to be opened. One of the R.P.G shooters bravely stood up and he targeted the enemy’s cannon and he made the enemy to escape. One of the personnel of the Landmine that he wanted to open a way in the landmine he had faced with a Wallmeri mine and all of us were watching him that suddenly he jumped up along with smoke and fires. After a few minutes, we felt that something like rain dropped on us and it was clear that the pieces of his body were dropping there as he had been badly martyred. Again I observed another sign.

I told myself, Dear God, what are you doing? Where are you directing me towards? We crossed the landmine, but in the right side of me, I heard the voices of Ya Zahra and Ya Hussein. After that I noticed that some other war veterans were martyred. This war veteran was the son of the old man that I gave my own blanket to him a night before the operation in order to let him sleep comfortably. The old man bent down and he kissed his son’s face and he continued his path. We arrived to the strategic mountains which was the place of enemy’s commandership headquarters.

Another landmine was in our way and once again the personnel of landmine opened the landmine and the war veterans continued their operation. A grenade was thrown towards me and a small quiver hit me and another quiver hit the canteen of another war veteran.

We had faced with intense thirst and those war veterans who would join the angels, they would be martyred. But still I was waiting that for the moment that an angel to tie me into its wings and to take me to heaven. God willing…

The End
