Martyr Nazar Nejad's Son Speaks of his Father

Mortaza Nazar Nezhad in an exclusive interview with the reporter of the Iranian Student’s News Agency (ISNA) from Mashhad city on the sideline of the 4th Commemoration of Martyr Mohammad Hassan Nazar Nezhad (Baba Nazar) regarding the most important characteristic of her father said: “Belief was the most important characteristic of my father and this extraordinary and strong belief caused he obeys the demands of Imam Khomeini so well.”?

He added: “According to his age at the beginning of the war and the Basijis were so young, they needed a paternal kindness due to being away from their family and my father would play the role of their fathers as well. Also the Basiji guys from Khorasan province would call my father by the nickname of Dad Nazar Nezhad.”?

Nazar Nezhad said: “My father during a night coordinated with martyr Rostami to go to Kurdistan in the morning. Since he had a strong belief, he was able to stay in the battlefields for eight years and after that he lived with 160 quivers in his body. He was a continuer of the path of martyrs and his comrades and he was martyred in 1996.”?

The child of martyr Nazar Nezhad stipulated: “He was among the few persons who did not return home after the war. In 1991 he came to Mashhad from the war zones and he resided there.”?

He added: “Since he had a high devotee percentage, he would attend in most of the meetings which he would be invited to attend, specially those meetings that would be held regarding the issue of martyr and martyrdom. In fact he would consider this work as a duty for himself. He struggled so much to transfer the culture of sacrifice and martyrdom to the youths and especially to the children of martyrs.”?

Nazar Nezhad regarding the obedience of this martyr from the Islamic Guardianship said: “He would always express this motto that if you want to preserve the revolution, you must support the supreme leader. He also would respect Imam Khomeini and Imam Khamenei so much.”?

The child of martyr Nazar Nezhad also considered the reason that the martyrs have remained obsolete due to the ignorance of the authorities and he added: “The authorities must wake up, some of them experienced the war too, but at the moment they have forgotten that era and their own memories.”?

He emphasized: “These persons have forgotten their comrades, the earthwork of the Sacred Defense Era when they were defending our country and it has led to the separation of martyrs and not transferring the culture of sacrifice and martyrdom to the third generation.”?

Nazar Nezhad regarding the duty of the youths and university students said: “The young generation and students should have an active growth in the society and they have the duty to use the culture of sacrifice and martyrdom inside the universities and the cultural societies, so that the work and activities will be done so well in the cultural, scientific and research fields.”?
