Islam Day Commemorated in Brazil

According to Shabestan News Agency, many of the Muslim minorities gathered in Brazil on Monday, May 14, 2012 to hold a celebration that was approved by the Sao Paolo State Parliament based on the request of Islamic Affairs Council in Brazil and Islamic National Union.

Sheikh Khaled Taghi Al-Din Ali, the Secretary General of Islamic Affairs Assembly for Brazil said: “Islam is not a strange religion in Brazil, but also it is considered as a key element for the organizations of this country and it plays a great role for development of Brazil.”?

Taghi Al-Din Ali added: “Honoring the religion of Islam is honoring of all the divine religions which convey the message of monotheism.”?

Within his speeches, he expressed three messages to the Muslims that the first message is related to increasing the dignity of the Brazilian nation, the second message is related to the Islamic institutes for creation of unity and introducing the real Islam to the nation of Brazil and the third message is related to the need of solidarity with the Islamic Nations in order to achieve freedom.”?

On the other hand, the chief of Islamic National Unity ‘Jamal Pasha’ said: “The religion of Islam is being expanded in Brazil in a marvelous mode and this issue is due to the religious propagandists and clerics who talk with the people in Portuguese language and they ease introduction of Islam’s religion.”?

He continued: “The number of Islamic institutes and organizations has been increased in Brazil and they have reached to 118 Islamic institutes.”?

According to the report of Al-Islam Al-Yowm, Protos Rigis Kiroz, the Federal Representative for development of Muslims in Brazil gave speech regarding different issues and he emphasized: “The religion of Islam is a religion which invites its followers to do activities, affection and kindness and it defends the truthfulness and it opposes any violations and insulting against Muslims.”?

The Islamic Institutes Union in Brazil distributed some books for free in Brazil. The books had been written in Portuguese language. Such occasions are a good opportunity to invite people towards God.
