The Commander whose Head Imam Khomeini Kissed

Navideshahed: All of those war veterans who served in the Army 25 of Karbala could know Naser Behdasht, specially those war veterans who belonged to the battalion ‘Hamzeh’. In fact most of them somehow considered themselves indebted to him….

A review on the spiritual life of martyr Commander Naser Behdasht:

He was born in 1961 in a kind family in Ghaem Shahr Neighborhood. His family named him ‘Naser’. Since childhood he had a special and good behavior. He was born in 1961 in a kind family in Ghaem Shahr Neighborhood. His family named him ‘Nasir’. Since childhood he had a special and good behavior. He was so humble and decent at that time and he would treat those children who had the same age so well. He would never say lies in his childhood games.

Nasir went to school at the age of 6 and he would always have serenity in his behavior. After accomplishing this era, he entered a technical high school and he continued his education in civil program. Since he had a great interest to this knowledge, he was an excellent student. During the years that was the climax of the conflicts between the Muslim nations of Iran against Pahlavi despised regime, but he would always struggle in the field and he would not give up his efforts at all. Eventually the Islamic Revolution got its victory and since he was a lover of Imam Khomeini, he joined the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps along with a group and he became of the green uniform forces of Islamic Revolution. It should be noted that the martyr took part in the protests and demonstrations and in the meetings which would be held against the regime in Ghaem Shar mosque.

After the victory of Islamic Revolution also according to the special situation of Ghaem Shahr and the activities of anti-revolutionary militants, martyr Behdasht was one of the main agents which got involved in the fighting against anti-revolutionary militants. During the years 1980 to 1981 he was an authority in one of the operation teams of the Ghaem Shahr Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps. Activity in the garrison ‘Shirgah’ was among the main and special activities of this martyr.

Training the forces that would be commanded by him and preparing them to fight against anti-revolutionary militants and also for dispatching them to the Iran-Iraq war battlefields were the night and day concerns of martyr Behdasht during these years.

Martyr Commander Nasir Behdasht was dispatched to the battlefields of Iran-Iraq war, when this war was started and he fought against the Iraqi Baathist enemy in different posts. He was injured several times during his fighting as well. But his injuries never stopped him of fighting and he would always try to stay in the frontiers and he had a dramatic presence in the war.
Nasir was a representative of the neighborhood 3 in Marivan city. Since he showed a great courage, capability and sufficiency from himself, he was appointed as the commander of the battalion ‘Hamzeh Seyed Al-Shohada’, special army 25 of Karbala (AS) in 1982 and he served in this post so passionately and powerfully. He created many sacrifices during this time too. Martyr Behdasht in addition of commanding the Hamzeh battalion, he was an authority for the Changooleh-Mehran strip as well.

The peak of martyr’s courage took place during the military operation ‘Valfajr 6’ along with Hamzeh battalion. He was martyred on May 8, 1985 in the mountainous areas of Ghalavizan when the enemy had ambushed him. His body was lost for 10 days and it was found by the searching of his comrade and close fiend ‘Martyr Commander Jafar Shirsavar’.

The mourning mother:

In 1984 we moved towards frontier with a Toyota truck along with martyr commander ‘Behdasht’. He asked a question from me: Haji what name have you chosen for your daughter? I responded: Kusar. He started crying in tears when he heard the name of Kusar, but he would try to cry hiddenly. His hidden crying became clear aftera few minutes and as he was whispering Ya Zahrah, Ya Zahra! He cried in tears and sometimes he would say: “Haji, what a beautiful name you have chosen for your daughter.”? I knew that he was crying for the innocence of her Excellency Zahra (S) and he was eulogizing for her and he was crying for her mother whose side had been broken.

He hugged the martyrdom bride.

At the wedding night, when the details of marriage and occasion were expressed, my mother asked Nasir that what dresses she should wear for the wedding party of Nasir? The respectful martyr responded her mother:
You should wear a dress that is good for wearing during my funeral procession as well…

Imam Khomeini kissed Nasir’s head.

He liked Imam Khomeini so much. After our marriage, he went to Tehran to visit Imam Khomeini. But the authorities did not allow him to visit him face to face, but he did not give up and he stayed there for two days behind the door of Imam without water and foods, finally one of the friends of Imam Khomeini informed him that a Basiji guy has come here and he wants to visit him the also told him that he has been waiting there for two days. Imam Khomeini demanded them to bring him to him. Eventually Nasir was able to meet him in person. Imam Khomeini kissed Nasir’s head and he whispered something, but the martyr did not say that to anyone.

Nasir was introduced as the best war veteran in the battlefields and he got a ring from the Friday Imam of Ahvaz city. On the agate of the ring has been written: “Imam Khomeini, you are my spirit, Imam Khomeini, you are the Iconoclast.”?
