In the name of God
To the founder of Islamic Revolution and the captain of poor people ship ‘Imam Khomeini’

Dear Imam, I’m Saeed Pour Saraj son of Kazem. I live in Shoostar city. I would like to express a special issue to you. I hope that you will reply my letter as well. I really apologize if I take your great and precious time in advance.

Dear Imam, I have been living in a religious family for 19 years. I have been present in the battlefields of Iran-Iraq war several times since the beginning of war. I hope God will accept my fighting too; I lost my left foot during the military operation ‘Valfajr Moghadamati’. My foot has been amputated from knee.

But since I have lost many of my friends during the war and the passion of going to war does not allow me to stay calm, I went to the battlefields of Iran-Iraq war once again for the purpose of reciting prayer and eulogy; but when I went there and I requested them to let me to be present in the frontiers, they did not allow me. Now I have become really sad about this issue. Now I would like to express my sadness to you, because you are the general commander of armed forces. The only sadness that I have is that everyday I hear that one of my friends is martyred; so I’m really worried about this issue that maybe I die in my city or in my bed. I really like martyrdom so much and I really attempt so much join my martyred friends.

I hope that you will reply me and tell me the best recommendation.

Also I would like to say if the frontiers to have a defensive condition, I can take part in the conflicts as well and if I take part in such a conflict are I a martyr or not? At the end I really want you to answer my letter with your own handwriting. God willing, you will give some advices in your letter to me too.

I’m a lover of you and as long as I have blood in my vessels, I won’t forget you and my heart always beats for you only.

Yours sincerely
Saeed Pour Saraj, April 21, 1984

In the name of God

My dear son, I really ask the Great God to make you join the martyrs. You veterans have expressed your greeting to God and you are in the list of martyrs and you have paid your debt to Islam and you should never be sad if you can not go to the war.

I hope God will do a favor for you too.
