The Interesting Story of an Art Student's Acquaintance with Martyr Janbozorgi:

I was Looking for the One who Resembled Martyrs they Said

Navideshahed: Someday one of my friends who was not familiar with the Holy Defense so much said: “I’m looking for someone who is a strange person and I really doubt about him whether he is alive or not?! What do you mean by the words ‘whether he is alive’? he said: “Do you remember the camping that we had in the southern cities of Iran, he is so similar to the martyrs! When he comes to the university, he is the same as a shade and it seems that no one sees him!”?

Zohreh Ashrafi, the manager and executor of the program ‘Haj Ahmad Motevaseliyan Statue’ who was glorified as a revolutionary artist during the first round of ‘Special Reward of Martyr Jan Bozorgi’ and she granted her reward to the daughter of martyr Saeed Jan Bozorgi in an exclusive interview with the Sacrifice and Martyrdom reporter of Fars News Agency regarding her motivation for execution of this program said: “A few years ago we had a trip to Lebanon by collaboration of Art and Literature Office. We went to Lebanon with the university students of different cinema programs. We talked about Haj Ahmad Motevaseliyan in the border cities of Lebanon and some of the garrisons in which this martyr had been present.”?

This young artist continued: “By expressing some memories regarding Haj Ahmad Motevaseliyan by Haj Agha Panahiyan and other comrades of Haj Ahmad, many of the group members were influenced; specially in the ceremony in which Haj Ahmad had pointed towards Israel and Haj Alireza Panahiyan was present as well and he narrated that story for us.”?

Ashrafi outlined: “When the narrations of Haj Ahmad Motevaseliyan were expressed, the friends decided to make a documentary regarding this great martyr of Islam and it was advanced until some stages, but it was stopped in the mid-way due to some reasons. Later that imagination was changed into the current program.”?

The winner of the First Special Reward of Martyr Jan Bozorgi declared: “Producing the project took time for 8 months and it became one year by the time of designing, constructing the replica and making the original statue.”?

Ashrafi expressed her happiness regarding the simultaneous time of unveiling and installing the statue of Haj Ahmad Motevaseliyan with the 30th anniversary of captivity of this revolutionary man and she mentioned: “It is supposed that this statue to be installed in Lebanon and of course the order of producing this work for Tehran has been done as well.”?

She regarding the statue stated: “The current statue is a combination of Haj Ahmad Motevaseliyan along with a photo of Imam Musa Sadr, the Iranian and Shiite leader in Lebanon and it is supposed to be installed in a huge park which has been constructed by the Islamic Republic of Iran in the hills close to the occupied Palestine.”?

This revolutionary artist in response to the reasons of granting her reward to the daughter of martyr Jan Bozorgi said: “I’m a graduated student of Painting Program from Art University and I was getting my bachelor degree and I was in the university where martyr Jan Bozorgi was getting his master degree. Of course at that time martyr Jan Bozorgi was getting his master degree and he would teach in the university as well.”?

She continued: “I knew that martyr Jan Bozorgi was an outstanding martyr of war, but I did not know that he was a chemically injured patient as well and when I heard his martyrdom news, I was so shocked.”?
