On one of the days of 1982 between 9:00 to 10:00 o’clock in the morning, the sound of two Phantom aircrafts was heard on the road of Basra-Al-Amarah.

It was a maneuver of aircrafts on the Gas station of Al-Gharneh for the purpose of targeting it. At the same time many people had gathered there in order to get oil and petroleum from the sources. The Iranian pilot did not bombard the gas station when he saw that the innocent people are there and they want to get the oil and petroleum. In fact he did not want to kill the innocent people.

The aircrafts attempted to find another target and they target the bridge of Al-Gharneh which would connect the Basra Al-Amarah road. There was another bridge near this bridge and there were anti-aircraft cannon there. The shooter of one of the cannons targets one of the aircrafts. The pilot gets injured, but he was able to shoot the cannon with the first attack, although he could save himself with parachute, but he landed on the bridge with the aircraft.

What had been left from him was an id card, some parts of his guts, stomach and his foot.

Some of the people held some small pieces of the aircrafts and they moved in the city as a sign of victory, but they were not aware of this issue that instead of expressing their victory in the city, they were expanding the news of a champion martyr.
