The Same Color as Martyrs' Blood
Navideshahed: Pomegranate was the favorite fruit of the war veterans. They would consider pomegranates the same as heaven fruits and the same color as martyrs’ blood. When they would eat pomegranates, they would feel that have gotten closer to their God.
It was 1986 and before the military operation ‘Karbala 4’ and the war veterans would not eat the fruits that eating them was difficult and or those fruits which needed to be peeled off. On that day that Shooshtar garrison had sent many pomegranates; but cleaning them and preparing these fruits was difficult for us. So we thought that it not good that the fruits which have been sent to us by the people to be ruined.
Along with some of the comrades including martyr Abdol Rahman Ebadi, we prepared the fruits of several boxes and then sent them to the frontiers that the war veterans who had launched the military operations and they were tired to eat.

Some of the war veterans who had eaten or not eaten the pomegranates were selected and they were killed.
