Islamic Revolution Encyclopedia Fourth Edition Published

According to Navideshahed, the book is the first volume of the three-volume of Islamic Revolution encyclopedia which has been published for the teenagers and youths. The encyclopedia consists of the letters of A to C and it includes 260 entries.

Compiling the Islamic Revolution encyclopedia was approved in 2000 for the purpose of familiarizing different age groups with the concepts of revolution, fighting groups, characteristics, events, places, and the eras that were somehow relevant to this phenomenon. After holding different meetings in this field, 870 entries were considered for writing this book.

The time of the entries is relevant to the beginning of the decade 1960s which means the beginning years for the formation of Islamic Revolution and its victory.

Also the eight year defense of people (1980-1988), some of the literary prides, the important historical events and some issues relevant to the Islamic society and Islamic world, specially the history of Shiites have been put in the number of entries, so that the readers not only they will be familiarized with the revolution characteristics and specifications, but also they will get knowledge regarding the historical events and the great characters of the revolution as well.

In the preamble of the book we can read: “In the contemporary history of Iran there is no any important event the same as Islamic Revolution. This phenomenon can not be considered only the replacement of powers and governors; some magnificent effects of the Islamic Revolution on the cultural, social and political occasions of people took place too, so in this case we can say that the Islamic Revolution has been so unique in the history of Iran. There are much texts and writing regarding the Islamic revolution both inside and outside of the country which have been published. The issues have been evaluated and assessed from different perspectives.

The fourth release of the Islamic Revolution encyclopedia has been done in 290 pages and 2500 copies. The price of the encyclopedia is 29000 Toman.
