Islamic Revolution of Iran not Limited to Shia Faction

Navideshahed “Some tried to portray Islamic Revolution of Iran as a Shia movement that had no link with Sunnis or other Islamic countries,”? said Ayatollah Taskhiri, the Head of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought.

Speaking in a meeting with a Croatian delegation, The Head of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, Ayatollah Muhammad Ali Taskhiri said,”? Some tried to present Iranian Islamic Revolution as having no ties with other Muslims or Sunni nations.”?

“Fortunately we see the effects of Iran's Islamic Revolution in the Islamic World,”? the grand Ayatollah underscored.

“Islamic Revolution of Iran was a popular revolution not a coup d’etat and did not belong to a specific party,”? Ayatollah Takhiri added.

“That popular movement belonged to the nation which aimed at taking Iran’s glory and power back,”? the senior cleric underscored.

“Imam Khomeini - the late founder of Islamic Republic of Iran - organized and guided the revolution but western countries tried to suppress its spread to other nations,”? Ayatollah Taskhiri expressed.

“Fortunately we see the consequences and effects of this movement on Muslim countries such as Egypt, Tunisia and others nations,”? the senior cleric mentioned.

In this meeting the deputy of Croatian Mufti, Aziz Hasnoich said,”? we are sure that the era of oppression, arrogance and despotism has been terminated and believe in a bright future for the Islamic World.”?
