The Pilot who Became the Guest of Rocks

Navideshahed: ‘The Guest of Rocks’ is the second book that has been compiled by Raheleh Saboori. The book narrates the biography and memories of the pilot Mohammad Gholam Husseini and it has been released by Sureh Mehr Publication.

According to Navideshahed, ‘The Guest of Rocks’ is the first book from pilots memories series which has been written about the biography of Mohammad Gholam Husseini, one of the pilots of the Iran-Iraq war. During the military operation ‘Valfajr 2’ Gholam Husseini was a pilot who was responsible to support the sky of Kermashah. During one military operation, he got involved in fighting with some Iraqi aircrafts. So within a chase, he had to move towards Kurdistan and West Azarbaijan province borders.

Since the pilot Gholam Husseini had been injured, he had to eject (an emergency landing). After ejecting, he entered the Kurdistan Democrat Party region and then he was captured by the forces of this region.

Gholam Husseini was in captivity from August to November and after that he was freed. Most of the memories written in the book are related to this era of his lifetime.

‘The Guest of Rocks’ is the first work of the 10 volume series regarding the pilots of the Islamic Republic of Iran which have been produced by the Resistance Literature and Art Office and they have been published by Sureh Mehr Publication.

It should be noted that the book ‘The Guest of Rocks’ is a great memory book which has been published by Sureh Mehr in 2500 copies.
