Hassan Haghighi, the Martyr Who Passed Away in the Mid Shaban Night

According to Navideshahed reporter quoted by Fars News Agency, martyr Hasan Haghighi was born in a religious family in 1945 in Golpayegan city. When he was a young man, he was employed as a police. He played an important role to protect the lives and properties of people before the Islamic Revolution without being involved in the corruption of the Shah’s regime.

During the revolution, he was one of the persons who would take part in the crackdowns and protests against Pahlavi’s regime. After the victory of the Islamic Republic he became a guard of Al-Rasul mosque located in Narmak Neighborhood of Tehran city. Since he has some special abilities and honesty, he was appointed as the supervisor of guards in the same mosque. He in addition of establishing propaganda classes, he would promote the high Islamic goals and objectives as well.

Following the establishment of the circle for fighting against narcotics, according to the brilliant background that he had, he was appointed as the supervisor of the circle for fighting against narcotics in east Tehran. He did his commission and responsibility so nicely. Martyr Haghighi believed fully in fighting with the dealers of death (sellers of narcotics and drugs). During his service, he played an important role and he was able to save the lives of many people who had been involved in these drugs.

Along with the implementation of these duties, he would hold Islamic ideology and gun training. When the Iran-Iraq war started, he took several of the persons who had trained them himself to the battlefields. He was so active in delivering the gifts of the nation to the fighters of frontiers. After a while he came back to the police station and then he became an authority for the Islamic Revolution Committee Saving Forces in East Tehran city. He was able to do many activities and services with this responsibility.

Martyrdom Story

The expanded activities of martyr Haghighi caused that the sworn enemies of Islam decide to kill him. But despite of all the dangers that would threaten him in response to the guidance that would be expressed to him to be more careful, but he would say: “My life is rewarded to me by God and he will take this life from me at any moment that he wants. Even if I live inside a strong castle, it will happen.”? During the final days of his life he had a strange condition. He was so sure that he will be martyred soon. This condition had progressed in a way that he would call himself a “REAL MARTYR”?.

At the night of Mid Sha’ban (June 8), he came back from a trip from Qom city. He went to his bed late night. At 7:00 o’clock in the morning three anti-revolutionary terrorists who had determined his house previously go to his home and they introduce themselves as the police officers. As soon as the martyr comes to the door, they target him by many bullets and then they escape.

Coroner Report:

The coroner announces the reason of martyrdom of “Hasan Haghighi”? as follows: The body belongs to a man whose is about 30 years old. He has a round hole on his forehead and it is the hole that the bullet has made and its diameter is about 8 to 9 millimeters. Bloods had come out from the left ear; also there is a mark on his left chick that exist due to superficial touch of a bullet. A bullet has hit his right arm and another bullet has hit his right forearm and both of them have crossed it, also a bullet has hit chest and another has hit the right side of his stomach that they have penetrated the body; the first hast left from the left side of chest and the second has exited from backside of his back. According to the above condition, the reason of death is due to bullets.

So as a result a kind man who would provide services to the poor and who was a strong fighter against anti-revolutionary militants was martyred by the hired men of arrogance. God bless him!

We did it by force and then Ahad Eftekhar Zadeh (Bijan) rode the car, so we went to the house of martyr Haghighi. Bijan was commissioned to murder him, he left the car and after calling Hasan Haghighi to come to the door and when he saw him, he shot him by several bullets.

Those who like the martyrdom, they are not afraid of death at all!

The lovers of martyrdom like to achieve this goal so much. These persons before they become martyred there are martyrs. Their behavior, words and actions…all are a preamble for the beautiful notebook of martyrdom. Their prayers and worshipping is a whisper by a martyr.

Now we should ask this question, what can do the agents of the world arrogance by doing such crimes? How they can frighten the strong men who are not afraid of martyrdom?
