Basij Is a Great Divine Gift to Iranian Nation

According to the reporter of Navideshahed; Hossein Dehqan, the Deputy of the President and Head of “Martyr Foundation and Isargaran Affairs”? delivered speech in “Conference of Basijian of Martyr Foundation”? and started his lecture with a sentence said by Imam Khomeini about “Basij”?. He said: “Imam Khomeini said about “Basij”? in one of his speeches: “I envy sincerity of “Basijian”? (Basiji people). And I ask God that I am with them in the next world. I am proud that I am a “Basiji”?.”?
Dehqan further added: “Imam Khomeini always sought God’s satisfaction during his life. And he expected “Basijian”? to seek for God’s satisfaction in all stages of their lives.”?

Head of “Martyr Foundation and Isargaran Affairs”? referred to two positions of “Basiji”? people in the view of Imam Khomeini and said: “First a “Basiji”? has a position of being human who is moving towards moral perfection and improvement. In the second view, a “Basiji”? person is highly responsible for moral improvement of Islamic society. God’s satisfaction will be achieved when these two views are mixed together. And this is what Imam Khomeini expected. Imam Khomeini observed truths in ideals, objectives and beliefs of “Basiji”? people that indicated fundamental values of Islamic society.”?
Dehqan further said: “Basiji”? people are Islamic men. As Islamic men, our “Basiji”? people are in a level lower than imams and religious men. And one of the glories of Imam Khomeini was training people with such moral values. Benefiting from its capacities, “Basij”? should take steps in the way of improving Islamic system and should make efforts to appear Imam Khomeini’s thoughts and objectives.”?

Deputy of the President referred to improving and growing movement of human and said: “Societies are always moving towards improvement in all periods of time. And man is not excepted from this rule. The process of movement of human towards perfection is a continuous process which has begun since start of creation and will continue till end of world.”?
In continuation, Dehqan said: “All prophets and imams have come to be an example for men; but there are selected and wise people among ordinary people who are pioneers in the process of movement towards perfection and improvement. And they are examples for the whole society.”?

He further added: “As a wise and educated man, “Basiji”? person is a selected man who is present in the scene in which he/she is ready to obey “Velayat”? and fulfill divine duties in line with achieving objectives of Islamic society. Belief and right action which complete each other and are mentioned together in Quran form the behavior of “Basiji”? person. And “Basiji”? has a jihadi (Related to jihad) spirit in the way of God.”?
As for belief and right action, Dehqan said: “Basiji is a person who is knowledgeable and aware. He/she knows the need of the time with the power of belief and moves towards right and good action as well as God’s satisfaction.”?
He referred to the role of “Basij”? in Islamic society and said: “Basij is a great divine gift for selected nation of Iran that is responsible for improvement of Islam World at this particular period of time and has accepted all its expenses with all powers.”?

If we witness breaking of global imperialism, it is rooted in popular movement of “Basij”? that moves towards more improvement of Islamic society. As Imam Khomeini said; “Basij”? is the active body of our society. And our society will have favorable honor and future by the time spirit and culture of “Basij”? exists in the society, Dehqan stated.
In conclusion, Deputy of the President referred to verses of “Tobeh”? Sourah of Quran to explain duties of “Basiji”? people and said: “Basiji should be believer and sincere. Basiji should have the spirit of fighting with enemies. And “Basiji”? should be afraid of God and be aware to defend values of Islamic society”?
