Propagating the Culture of Self Sacrifice and Martyrdom Is a National Duty

In an interview with Navideshahed reporter; Dr. Abbas Khamehyar stated the above and added: “Martyr Foundation and Isargaran Affairs play the role of a responsible organization for propagating the culture of self sacrifice and martyrdom. And it is the duty of everyone to pave required grounds to succeed in propagating the culture of self sacrifice and martyrdom and review past methods.”?

As for obstacles to propagation of the culture of self sacrifice and martyrdom, he said: “Obstacles to propagation of the culture of self sacrifice and martyrdom should be eliminated; both in view and performance. And we should reconsider the traditional view to the affairs of Isargaran. We should show the society, young generation in particular that propagating the culture of self sacrifice and martyrdom does not aim at sanctifying Isargaran; but it aims at showing the fact that Isargaran and martyrs have been regular people and achieved this degree by their own efforts.”?


Research and Cultural Relations Deputy of “Martyr Foundation”? further referred to honoring Isargaran as one of the important issues in the field of propagating the culture of self sacrifice and martyrdom and said: “We should honor Isargaran with nowadays ways. And we can not hold dull and lifeless memorials like past and repeated words anymore. We should use new methods, facilities and current capacities well to honor Isargaran. We should review past memorial ceremonies held for these dear people. And we should avoid any type of general speaking, speaking a lot about this issue as well as repetition and exaggeration.”?
He further continued: “Using art in all fields is one of the main issues in propagating the culture of self sacrifice and martyrdom. Modern art exhibitions can provide high capacities for propagating the culture of self sacrifice and martyrdom.”?
The issue of propagating the culture of self sacrifice and martyrdom is a national issue and it has close relations with all issues of our society, Abbas Khamehyar emphasized.
