About the women in Karbala we can talk in two different ways: one: about how many persons they were and who they were as well as what roles they had.

Women who were present in the karbal Event were the descendants of Imam Ali (A. S.) and some of them were not his descendants and they were from Bani Hashem and others. Zeinab, Amma Kolsom, Fatima, Safieh, Roghaieh and Amma Hani were among his children, Fatima, Sakineh were the daughters of the chief of the martyrs. Robab, Ateke, Mother of Mohsen Ibne Hassan, Mohsen Ibne Aghil's daughter, Fezzeh Nobieh, Private servant of Imam Hossein (A. S.) and Vahab Ibne Abdollah's mother were also present in the Karbala.
Five women who came out of the army and attacked the troops of the enemy were: Muslim Ibne Oosjeh's servant, Omma Vahab wife of Abdollah Kalbi, mother of Abdollah Kalbi, Mother of Omar ibne Jannadeh, Zainab Kobra (S. A.) The women who were killed in the Ashura were Vahab's mother, lady of the Namirieh Ghasetieh, the wife of Abdollah Ibne Amir Kalbi who came to her husband's restromm and asked God for martyrdom and at the same place she was killed by the sword of Shomr's servant.
In Ashura there were two women who were killed due to their extreme sensitivity and anger in support of Imam; they fought for his sake.
One is the mother of Abdollah Ibne Omar who wanted to attack the enemy's camp and Imam brought her back, the other is Amro ibne Jannadeh who after the death of her son killed one of the enemies with his head and then she took a sword and went to the war fare mourning; Imam Hossein brought her back to the camp.
Omar's daughter (Zahir iBne Gin's wife) also joined Imam Hossein's troops along with her husband. Zahir joined the troops of Imam Hossein but it was under the influence of his wife that he joined them. Robab, daughter of Amre Al Gheis Kalbi, wife of Imam Huusein and mother of Skineh and Abdollah, was also present.
A woman from the Bekr Ben Vael was also present; she was with her husband in the Ibne Sa'd army. But at the time of the Koofeh army to the camps of the Muslims' army she took a sword and came to the dynasty of Bekr Ibne vael and sought their support.
Zainab Kobra and omma Kolsoom (S.A.), Amir Al Momenin's Daughters (A. S.), Fatima daughter of Imam Hossein (A. S.) were also present and captured as handicaps. They made clarifying speeches in Koofe and … These women along their children formed the handicaps of the caravan of the prophet's descendants who were scattered after the death of Imam and the attack of the Koofeh Army on the camps, first in the desert and then they were caught and were sent to Koofeh as handicaps and from there they were sent to Damascus.
