Islamic Revolution, A Turning Point in Human History

Senior Iraqi cleric Hojat-ol-Islam Sadreddin Qobanchi, made the remark while delivering his Friday prayers sermon in the holy city of Najaf.
He referred to the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution’s victory and the establishment of the Islamic Republic of Iran by Imam Khomeini (RA) and said the revolution was not just a domestic or even regional event but actually a turning point in history.
Hojat-ol-Islam Qobanchi also touched on the anniversary of the start of Bahrain’s revolution and said the people of Bahrain that have begun a blessed Intifada are determined to lead it to victory and regain their rights.
He expressed surprise at the silence of the Arab world over the violations of human rights in Bahrain while Arab countries at the same time support the opponents of the Syrian government.
Bahrain has been the scene of demonstrations since mid-February 2011. Thousands of pro-democracy protesters have staged numerous demonstrations in the streets of Bahrain, calling for the Al Khalifa family to relinquish power.
The Friday prayers leader of Najaf further pointed out the clashes between terrorists and security forces in Al-Anbar province of Iraq and said the presence of terrorists in the province and their clashes with security forces have forced thousands of Iraqis out of their homes, which is “a tragedy”?.
Violence erupted in Al-Anbar on December 30, 2013, when the army removed an anti-government camp in the city of Ramadi.
Iraqi authorities said the camp had been used as “headquarters for the leadership of al-Qaeda.”?
The bloodshed later spread to Fallujah and militants moved in and seized the city and parts of Ramadi.
According to the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), over 140,000 people have left their homes amid raging clashes in the province of Al-Anbar.
