Membership in the council will make investigating the documents a professional task

TEHRAN, (SCIB) - Along with the new approach adopted by veterans' document center to participate actively in different international areas, a group of experts from veterans' document center will attend the 16th congress of the Archive world council.

Navideshahed reports from ISNA: Mahbub Shahbazi, General Director of Collecting, Keeping and Editing the Works of the Veterans in addition to announcing this news has added that: the veterans' document center has initiated some steps for participating in the international councils and one such example, he accounted, is preparing the ways to join the Archive world council.

Shahbazi continued: Membership in this council, on one side, will provide access for all the interested people all over the world to the veterans' document center and on the other, those who are in charge of this center can be benefited by the abilities, experiences, and technical achievements in archiving documents.

He referred to the advantages of membership in the council and said: Membership in the council will make investigating the documents a professional task and will improve its effects; it also provides you with the chance of getting more and updated information in archiving and getting to know your colleagues throughout the word.

Shahbazi added: we think some important parts of the works, remained after the dear martyrs and veterans of this holy land, form a part of the cultural and spiritual inheritance of this country specifically and of common human inheritance in general, and are worth registering in the "collective memory of the world" for the better being of human society.

It should be added that the 16th world archive congress will start from (22July, 2008) Mordad 1st in which 190 countries and 3000 archivists throughout the world will participate. This congress will run in Malaysia for a week.
