Elite Women Meet with Supreme Leader on Birthday of Hazrat Zahra (SA)

On the eve of the birth anniversary of Fatima al-Zahra (sa), the Leader of the Islamic Republic has met with a group of women intellectuals today morning.
The Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran told the meeting that “if we are to avoid the error of judgment in women’s issues, we should abandon the Western-promoted discourse, which has been almost trite,”? and that “in women’s issues, we should eschew secondary issues. The issue of female employment is such an issue.”?
Ayatollah Khamenei believed that the important issue was to investigate factors which damage the peace of mind of women at home. “If women do not feel secure and at peace at home, they could not succeed in their maternal roles of managing family. This is the main issue,”? said the Leader.
The auspicious occasion marks the Week of Honoring the Status of Women and Mothers. Saturday, the first day of the week, has been named “Woman, Human Dignity and Social Justice”?. An exhibition titled “Role of Women in Sustainable Development”? will also start in Tehran on the occasion. Names selected for other days of the week include “Woman, Seerah of Hazrat Zahra (SA) and Islamic-Iranian Lifestyle”?, and “Woman, Political Participation and Social Responsibility”?.
