Jehad is an Islam’s obligatory duty but is Kafai (an obligatory duty of all Muslims but it suffices when peformed by someone). Essence of Jehad is to defend not to offend. Observation of justice and not to exeed human limits against enemy is emphasized by Islam and is condition of victory in battlefield.
War must be hold against offender and is not necessary for weaks. But when enemy offends , defence is obligatory for all and women are not exception in the case.
