300,000 Tourists Visit Imam Khomeini’s House

Navideshahed: Over 300 thousand tourists have visited the historical house of Imam Khomeini (RA) in the city of Khomein.

According to the Institute for Compilation and Publication of Imam Khomeini’s (RA) Works, the statistics shows the number of those visiting the house in the first 9 month of the current Iranian year (started March 2011), IQNA’s Markazi branch reported.

According to the report, some of the visitors were foreigners.

It said organization of cultural and art programs, book fairs, and calligraphy and painting exhibitions in the house contributed to attracting more visitors.

Khomien, birthplace of the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, is in the center of Iran, 325 kilometers from Tehran.
