Isar means self sacrifice, generosity and forgiveness in Arabic language and in terminology of Muslim people. And it is used in Quran with this meaning. It is an admired property and all admired and good properties are confirmed by thoughtful people and religious schools. This property more or less existed in Arab society before appearance of Islam. And prophet of Islam – before being appointed as a prophet- participated in activities which had an aspect of isar (self sacrifice).
