So far as human being along with his abilities is the basis of profit, the following question is always discussed:
Can management style and decision making be used for the fulfillment of the goals of the organization and play a key role in gaining those advantages? On this basis the present research is aimed at investigating the effects and role of decision making of the managers on the effectiveness of the staffs of the Islamic Republic Foundation of Martyrs and Veteran’s Affairs. The research has been conducted on the basis of library study and field study.
The research community includes all staffs in central branch of the Islamic Republic Foundation of Martyrs and Veteran’s Affairs from among whom the researcher has chosen 120 categorically. In order to gather information questionnaire was used. The data collected has been analyzed by the use ofX² test. Regarding the dominant styles the results indicate that decision making in the central branch of Islamic Republic Foundation of Martyrs and Veteran’s Affairs is authoritative. In addition the findings of the research show that cooperative decision making style is not dominant in the Islamic Republic Foundation of Martyrs and Veteran’s Affairs. In the first, third and sixth stage of decision making the style is authoritative, and in second, fourth and fifth stages the style is based on counseling. Also there is no relationship between different styles of decision making and effectiveness of the staffs.
