Investigating the Relationship between Religious Orientation and Psychological Health among the Shahed Students

The major question of the present research is to see if there is any kind of relationship between religious orientation and psychological health.
The methodology of the research is correlative. The population of the research is composed of all the male and female students who have registered in different faculties of the University of Shahed in 1998 _ 1999 from among whom the researcher has chosen 100 persons categorically. In order to gather information the questionnaire of religious orientation and psychological health was used. The statistical method used was descriptive method and Pearson’s correlation test and t _ test were used.
The results indicate that there is meaningful relationship between religious orientation and psychological health among the students in the faculty of Humanities but there was not such a relation among the students of the Faculty of Medicine.
