Surveying and Comparing the Prevalence of Depression of the Shahed and Non _ Shahed Families in Koghiloyeh and Boer Ahmad Province in 2001 _ 2002

The present research is intended to investigate and compare prevalence of depression between shahed and non _ shahed high school students Koghiloyeh and Boer Ahmad Province. The present research has been conducted on the bases of analytical method, case study, and observation. The research community includes all the shahed and non _ shahed high school students of Koghiloyeh and Boer Ahmad Province. The research sample is composed of 162 shahed students chosen from among 180 students and 162 persons of the non _ shahed students were chosen at random comparatively.
The means of the research is Standard Test of Beck.
The results of the research show that the degree of depression among shed students is more than that of the non _ shahed students in Koghiloyeh and Boer Ahmad Province.
