The present research is about families where father has achieved the high degree of martyrdom and mother has to take his responsibilities in his stead. It seems that the educational levels of mothers, leader of the family have been effective on the educational progress of the students. This research is also intended to investigate this issue. The population of the research is thus composed of:
1.Shahed children whose mothers have diploma and are studying at high schools and in the western parts of Mazandaran.
2.The shahed children whose mothers are less than diploma and are studying at high schools and in the western parts of Mazandaran.
From among these groups 96 persons were chosen as sample and testing the hypotheses showed that the female students whose mothers have diploma and more have progressed in their education bettering comparison with those whose mother are less than diploma. There is not difference between educational progress of the male shahed students of the two groups (those whose mother have diploma and more and those whose mother are less than diploma). The shahed children whose mothers are more than diploma are more progressed in their education. The results of the hypotheses of the research show that the role of the literacy levels of the shahed wives are effective on the educational progress of the shahed students but the role of the Martyrs’ Foundation should not be ignored.
