"The Political Thoughts of Sheikh Fazlollah Nouri" Published

Navideshahed: The Publication of the Islamic Revolution Documentation Center introduces the book ‘The Political Thought of Sheikh Fazlollah Noori’ on the martyrdom anniversary of Sheikh Fazlollah Noori.

According to Navideshahed, August 1, 1849 has been the martyrdom date of Sheikh Fazlollah Noori, one of the most outstanding leaders of the Constitutional Movement.

Martyr Sheikh Fazlollah Noori was one of the clerics who played a very significant role in the victory of Constitutional Movement, but after observing the deviation and misleading of this movement, the expressed his oppositions with the westernized intellectuals. He called for a legal constitution and he would deny the constitution which had been made based on the rules of western countries and modeling from the western civilization and culture.

The Cultural and Artistic Institute and Publication of the Islamic Revolution Documentation Center released the works related to the thoughts of this cleric on August 1 which is the martyrdom anniversary of Sheikh Fazlollah Noori.

In this work we can read: “One of the most important events of the contemporary history of Iran is the Constitutional Movement that by passing one century from its occurrence time, still the textures and the speeches that had been expressed at that time have been mentioned. At that same time the Constitutional Movement itself reminds us of some characters which their historical characteristics had been linked to the destiny of Constitution seeking.”?

Martyr Sheikh Fazlollah Noori was one of the top clerics from Tehran and he was a liberal cleric who accompanied the constitution seekers during the Kubra Immigration, but he wisely noticed that the Constitution has been separated from the sea of justice seeking and its western feature is trying to blow up the religion and the religious values.

Under such a circumstance, Sheikh Fazlollah Noori for the purpose of guarding and protecting the religious values stated the legal constitution and he defended it with much resistance and stability. But the authorization constitution seekers naturally believed that anyone who does not support them has stayed in the Despotism battle, that is why they made a blow against Sheikh Fazlollah Noori and they hanged him.

The current book has been written in five chapters: The first chapter is a brief review but it is related to the Epistemology of the life of Sheikh Fazlollah Noori. The second chapter is regarding the category of the intellectuality and intellectuals at the Constitution Time.

The third chapter of the book is related the interfering of clerics in the constitution including the constitution seekers and constitution supporters and the interaction between them and the procedure of their presence in the field of politics and society of constitution has been under attentions.

The fourth chapter of the book is an effort in identifying and pure reviewing of the political thoughts of Sheikh Fazlollah Noori and its main principles. The final chapter of the book of Sheikh is related to the legal Constitution in throughout the history until current time which they have been verified and reviewed.
