5th Meeting of "Martyr Motahari Awards" Held in New Delhi

According to Navideshahed quoting Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), this year, the fifth 'Special Prize of Mottahari' was awarded to five professors and scholars from India who had provided services in the promotion of Mottahari’s works by the Jury group. Also the first volume of the book ‘Mutual Services of Islam and Iran’ in Urdu language was unveiled.

This year's Special Prize of Mottahari was awardd in India to Maulana Mohammad Shaker Naghavi Amr Hoy, Maulana Momtaz Ali, Professor Akhtar Alvaset, Professor Aziz Al-Din Hossein Hamedani and Gholam Hussein Motu.

The Head of Iran's Cultural Negotiation in India appreciated the presence of the distinguished scholars and personalities in the Indian ceremony and he said: “ Martyr Professor Mortaza Motahari was a pious scholar and professor of religion and prominence of the University and Imam Khomeini regarding the works of the great martyr said that all his works are good without exception and he considered martyr Mottahari as a close member of his party.”?

'Ahmad Alemi' with emphasis on studying the works of this great martyr and he said: “This feature of Motahari which is indicative of this great martyr is that he was an scholar and he had much knowledge regarding his era and he could recognize the situation and condition of his era so well and he would give speech based on the situation of the time and when he thought it is better to speak to the youths and teenagers, he decided to write a story book and when several attacks took place against the light of Islam he wrote the book ‘Women Rights in Islam and Veil’.


He said that the other features of the martyr were that he would stand against ignorance, and he fought against ignorance and illiteracy so strongly and this behavior of martyr Mottahari was a scholarly and logical movement.

He added: Unfortunately, in today's world, the reasoning and logic are not governing and the American priest against the reasoning of Koran burns the holy book ‘Koran’ and he insults to the prophet and sacred issues of Muslims, so the religious scholars and those who are moving in this direction and knowledge to stand against him and other ignorant people and to say if they do not have any words or reasoning, why they act so unfairly and indecently.

He said: Martyr Mottahari was a man who liked logics and reasoning and he did not talk illogically against those who had stood against him and this movement of him caused his eternity, as a result his words and speeches became everlasting in the world.
Iran's charge d'affaires in India at the ceremony said Mottahari is a universal character and does not belong to Iran only and this great martyr and professor of seminary and university and supporter of the oppressed people and one of the great theoreticians of the Islamic Revolution and he showed to the world that what Islam says and what the Islamic Revolution wants.

Mohsen Pakporu added: “Martyr Mottahari was a great personality and he had much knowledge regarding the Marxist, Socialists schools etc and during his lifetime by creating many cultural and social works, he introduced the pure Islam against the abovementioned schools.”?



He said: Martyr Mottahari had very clear and strong positions in the political field and he would always support the oppressed people of Palestine and he would reveal the Zionist lobby and their criminal goals and ambitions.
