Martyr Motahari's Quranic Researches were Meant to Cure Social Ills:

Shia Social Ethics, a Child of Martyr Motahari's Educational System

Navideshahed: Referring to the fact that Martyr Motahari followed a special system in education, Hujjat al-Islam Ali Akbar Sadeghi Rashad, a member of Cultural Revolution Supreme Council said: “Martyr Motahari was always trying to treat the pains of society in his Koran studies and he can be considered as the founder of Shiites Social Theology as well.”?

Hujjat al-Islam Val-Moslemin Ali Akbar Sadeghi Rashad, the member of Excellence Council of Cultural Revolution regarding the position of Koran in the thoughts of martyr Mortaza Motahari said to the reporter of Shabestan News Agency: “The Koran thought of martyr Motahari would be put near the other thoughts of him and it was parallel to them. martyr Motahari had a special knowledge system and as he would think about philosophy and speech, he would look at Koran and his outlook towards Koran was what he would think about Koran in the field of theology.”?

He also pointed out to this issue that the approach of martyr Motahari in all the thought fields was the same governing outlook to the studies and social outlooks and he declared: “So martyr Motahari was a complete and wise human who was a real scholar. It is true that he was influenced by the thoughts of Allameh Tabatabei in the field of studying Koran, but he was holistic the same as him.”?

Hujjat al-Islam Rashad continued: “In addition to this, he had an applied outlook towards the issues; it means he would not do his scientific works only in theory and words. He would always try to treat the pains and he would always try to seek treatment of pains. Martyr Motahari would spend his time to study the local and applied texts.”?

The Head of Cultural Research and Islamic Thought pointed out to this issue that martyr Motahari in the field of application of studies, he would focus on the society and he notified: “This outlook existed even in his speech philosophical studies. Martyr Motahari was the founder of theology and the new word concentrated on sociality. It means the Shiites social theology of Iran was established by him.”?

He emphasized that: “The approach of martyr Motahari in the speech discourses was also concentrated on solving the problems of society. He would not consider the social, secular, individual problems as something separated from the government. He would always have a social outlook. This social outlook of him is really transparent in his social approaches regarding Koran. In the interpretations left from him that include some religious affairs, his all words are absolutely regarding the social outlooks such what have occurred in Al-Mizan interpretation.”?

Hujjat al-Islam Rashad pointed out to this issue that from Al-Mizan book of Alameh Tabatabei the majority sciences and social theories can be elicited and he added: “This issue exists while the Al-Mizan interpretation is educational not thematic. Despite of all of these things, more than any other issue, it had focused the mind of Alameh Tabatabie to itself. Human sciences especially the social science is a behavior that martyr Motahari has also used this method in his Koran studying method.”?

He outlined: “ Being comprehensive, applicative and socialism are the agents that have been observed in any angle from knowledge and behavioral angles of martyr Motahari and this matter is clear in his Koran studies as well.”?

Hujjat al-Islam Rashad pointed out to the speech of Imam Khomeini based on applicative and effective benefits of martyr Motahari and he notified: “The young thought center in the form of a 40-volume book “Chehel Cheragh”? has released the comments of this martyr in a fantastic and marvelous and low capacities based on the today youths needs. This collection consists of his comments in different fields such as economy, politics, philosophy and revolution and it can be a great and significant source for the youths.”?
