Foundation of Martyrs and Veterans Affairs Vice President:

December 30 Epic will be Repeated in Case of any Threat or Hostility

Navideshahed: The Epic of December 30 was an end to any overthrow and sedition effort, and made history just like the demonstrations of February 10, 1979.

General Mohsen Ansari, the Vice President of the Foundation of Martyrs and Veterans Affairs, addressing the general directors and the heads of departments in the Research and Cultural Communications Deputy Office of the Foundation of Martyrs and Veterans Affairs in a meeting to determine the policies and approaches of 2012, said: "The Iranian nation, with a religious drive, created the Epic of December 30 to defend the regime and the Supreme Leader, and will repeat it in case of any threat from the enemies or outsiders."

He stressed on people's prompt response to indecencies, the extent of the incident, the presence of the third generation of Islamic Revolution, soft war strength, Iranian nation's insight, and the capability to put an end to all sedition efforts, as the features of December 30 Epic, and considered people's defending of the regime and religious values and obeying the Supreme Leader as the most important message of the epic.

Honoring the Epic of December 30 on its anniversary, General Ansari continued: "The post-election unrests in 2009 were pre-planned with the aim of overthrowing the regime; three decades of experience after the Islamic Revolution shows that it is Munafeghin (meaning hypocrites), anti-revolutionaries and monarchists who riot and the wise Iranian nation knows how to counter such efforts."

"Publishing documents is the key to their indelibility, and one of the Foundation of Martyrs and Veterans Affairs policies in the next year will be publishing martyrdom and sacrifice documents and make them available for all including researchers, because it is the wills and writings of martyrs that will be guiding to the future generations, and they have actually written for this purpose. In order to prevent the martyrs sacrifices from becoming history, we need to culturally and continuously work on it, since it is by nature is not limited to time or any specific place. Shiites have transferred the worthy culture of Ashura Epic from generation to generation, and today in order to do the same, beside the traditional ways in this, we have to mark our presence in the cyber space, use arts, train devotees, expand cooperation within the foundation, and take into account international matters especially the Islamic Awakening," he added.
