Israel Worried after Islamists Win Egyptian Polls

Navideshahed: Israeli 'defense' minister Ehud Barak has expressed the regime's worry over the initial results of the Egyptian elections that showed Islamists had grabbed the ballot.

According to Israel's Channel Two television, Barak has expressed concerns over what he calls 'Islamisation' in Arab countries.

In addition, Israel also worries that the Muslim Brotherhood will seek closer ties with the democratically-elected Palestinian government of Hamas.

The MB is expected to have received 32.5 percent of the votes in the first phase of the elections that was held on Monday and Tuesday while Islamists won up to 80 percent of the ballots.
