In Presence of Bosnian Ambassador in Iran;

Families of Iranian Martyrs in Bosnia War Were Honored

TEHRAN, (SCIB) - Within a ceremony that was held by “Iran and Bosnia and Herzegovina Friendship Association”? in “Hozeh Honari”?, families of Iranian martyrs in the war of Bosnia were honored.

According to the report of Navideshahed; an “Eftar”? party was held in “Hozeh Honari”? of “Islamic Propagation Organization”? on Sunday evening [Eftar is the meal which is eaten at the end of day during which Muslims have fasted and prevented eating and drinking]. This “Eftar”? party was held in presence of Amir Haji Kadonich, the Ambassador of Bosnia in Iran, Akbar Torkan, Head of “Iran and Bosnia and Herzegovina Friendship Association”? as well as a number of families of Iranian martyrs in Bosnia war.
This ceremony was held by “Iran and Bosnia and Herzegovina Friendship Association”? and started with reading verses of the Holy Koran by a Bosnian Koran reader. Then, Hojjat - ol Eslam Navvab, Deputy Head of “Iran and Bosnia and Herzegovina Friendship Association”? delivered short speech and said: “Ramadan Month is the month of kindness, friendship and meeting other Muslim people. And Muslims benefit such great blessing.”?
In continuation of his lecture, Hojjat - ol Eslam Navvab said: “A repeated issue is being discussed these days. And it is the issue of being Iranian or Islamic for us. In this respect, the Holy Koran has cleared up our situation. And God has said: “You are one united nation and worship me!”? therefore, color and race or being Bosnian or Iranian is not important in the Muslim nation. All Muslim people - where ever they live - are brothers of each other. Being Muslim is our identity.”?
In continuation of the ceremony, Amir Haji Kadonich, the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina expressed satisfaction with spending Ramadan Month in Iran. He added: “Nowadays, there is a lot of cultural exchange between Iran and Bosnia and Herzegovina. These two countries also have lots of cultural exchanges with other Muslim countries. And it shows existence of unity among Muslims of the world. It also shows the fact that there is no serious disagreement between Muslims.”?
Later in the ceremony, Semnani, Deputy Head of “Hozeh Honari”? delivered speech on behalf of Mohsen Mo'meni. He said: “Hozeh Honari is proud to play role in this friendship and in this kindly gathering. Artists were the most important people who paved grounds for holding this gathering of friendship. And “Hozeh Honari”? hopes to be able to pave grounds for more friendship, exchanges and relations.”?
In continuation of the ceremony, families of Martyr Heydari, Martyr Navvab and Martyr Niknam, the Iranian martyrs in Bosnia war were honored. “Iran and Bosnia and Herzegovina Friendship Association”? also honored Reza Borji, Seyfollah Ashyaneh and Mohammad Reza Arab, the documentary film makers who actively participated in war of Bosnia, Lebanon and Afghanistan. A plague of honor was presented to the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Iran within this ceremony.
Reza Borji, photographer and documentary film maker had also exhibited some of his photographs of Bosnia war in this ceremony. He presented a set of his photos including photos of Bosnia war to Engineer Akbar Torkan, Head of “Iran and Bosnia and Herzegovina Friendship Association”?.
