TEHRAN, (SCIB) - Mohammad Rahmanian, writer and theater director, called any categorization in theater meaningless and said, “Ta’zieh (passion play) is not a religious play; if one wants to assign a generic title to every subject that is examined in theater, and one will be faced with hundreds of genres which can not be handled scientifically and reasonably. Mohammad Rahmanian evaluated screenwriting of the recent years positive and stated, “The recent works in the field of playwriting show that there is a good potential for creating precious works in this field if good research is done initially. Mohammd Charmshir and Hamin Amjad are two playwrights that have produced valuable works in this field”?. He continued, “Mehr and Ayeeneha”? (Affection and the Mirrors), narrating the last three nights of the life of Imam Ali (AS), has been one of the most notable work produced in this field. Rahmanian maintained that there are adequate resources in writing artistic texts like plays and explained “There are books like “Rozatolshohada”? that can explore unraveled aspects of this event. If we only refer to the sayings and narrations and examine them from other points of view, we will discover lots of narrative lines that can trigger ideas for a new play.
