Scientific Session of “International Congress on Honoring Women Martyrs”? Was Held

TEHRAN, (SCIB) - The scientific session of “International Congress on Honoring Women Martyrs”? was held in presence of a number of Iranian and foreign guests in Hotel Hoveizeh in Tehran on February 2nd.

According to the reporter of Navideshahed; Mahin Panahi, Member of Scientific Committee of “International Congress on Honoring Women Martyrs”? presented a report of performance of the scientific committee of the congress at this session and said: “Scientific committee of this congress held its first session since September 2007 and 12 sessions have been held by now. These sessions aimed at receiving, compiling titles, evaluating and selecting scientific articles for “International Congress on Honoring Women Martyrs”?. Seven articles were finally selected to be published following being judged by the Scientific Committee. In this congress we intend to know theoretical bases of presence of women in jihad battlefields in addition to honoring the status of women martyrs.”? She also referred to major subjects in international articles section and said: “Major subjects of scientific articles in international section include studying presence of women in Islam battle fields, searching for motives of martyred and isargar women and the way women attended in battle fields and provided services to battle fields.”? Then Farahrouz Fatehi, Secretariat of Headquarters for holding “International Congress on Honoring Women Martyrs”? presented a report on articles of the congress and said: “There are 30 families of important martyrs from other countries such as Iraq, Bosnia, Palestine, Lebanon and Afghanistan at this congress.”? We reviewed and identified works of women martyrs in the Committee for Colleting Works of the congress and 6601 women martyrs were identified in the country; out of which 5000 persons have cultural files at the present time. It should be mentioned that Mahboub Shahbazi has been the secretariat of this committee, she added. Fatehi referred to publishing 14 titles of books with the subject of women martyrs by March 2008. She said: “We hope that these books will be presented for public use in International Book Fair next year.”? Fatehi also referred to activities of headquarters of holding the congress and said: “The headquarters took its first cultural step on September 8th 2007. And it commenced activities in form of Koran sessions in “Martyrs Museum of Tehran”?. In this line, “Women Martyrs Cultural- Sport Cup”? was also held in Chabahar.”? In continuation of the Scientific Session of “International Congress on Honoring Women Martyrs”?, related selected articles were read.
