At your home
Hello, father! I came to visit you yesterday too, at your little house. It is said that the most beautiful houses have been built in our city, but I never saw them. Our city has been changed so much. Riches are building towers and buying foreign cars, but I go to martyr’s grave when I am depressed and ask about you from heaven dandelions. Here all houses are the same. I am happy to build a house for you. We haven’t heard of you for 10 years. We had wandered in our thoughts at first. We said that maybe you return someday.
Good for Azam who has seen you. When I was born, you had been martyred for a long time. Father! What my mother has lived submissively. She has fondled me since my childhood. I have grown up so much that I can understand why you have preferred to go rather than stay? Now, I understand why you gave up university and high educations then went to the front. Now, I have been asked to write a memory from you. I don’t know daughters who have never seen their fathers, how can she write a memory about her father. My mother has given me all of your writings. Azam and I have read all of them and memorized many of them. Yesterday I had come at your grave to talk you.
I thought if I see you in my dream, and you tell me about yourself. Last night, I stayed awake till morning. And now, there are your tapes, testaments, and writings about your bravery, which have been described by your friends. Probably, I can find a memory among them to write. May the days always be brought happily to mind! Those were the nights full of love and sacrifice. May the martyrs always be brought happily to mind! Mortar-shell, mine, the world full of emotion & love. Operations of VALFAJR 8 were started at 10:00 p.m. of 09-01-1986. Its code was Ya Zahra. This operation was performed in two areas of Fav and Omol Rasas Island according to the plan. Imam Reza Brigade undertook the commission of Island Operations.
The forces were getting in cars to get to freedom. The moon was shining. Everybody was eager to go. I was responsible for advertising in the battalion. I attended as a free force during Operations. I found Mr. Zamanipour in the darkness of night somehow. He was guiding the forces to get on the cars. I had tied a mask to one side of my body and said:
"Can I come along with you?"
He turned his head in a state, which I hadn’t ever seen and, said: "where is your weapon?”?
I said: “I have masks, and take weapons from Iraqis who are killed or from our wounded forces who are returning back.”?
As he kept on working, he said: "Nabi, I like a person who fights with enemy right from the start. Hearing these words stunned me. It seemed as if an invisible voice called me: “Javadi pour. Our leader tells the truth, because he wasn’t one who did not know me.
We had been frightened together for several times. I designed a plan. I tried to be the first fighter who fights. The receiver man’s boat was the first one, which was going towards the Omol Rasas Island. I embarked in the boat too. We arrived at the Island under the fire of enemy. After passing the stormy river, which reaches the Arvandrood, There were narrow short roads. In two sides of water and reed-bed, the forces were taking land. We disembarked from boat, moved towards enemy in the form of half-raised beside our leader. Suddenly we realized that we are being shot from the middle of reed-beds, after looking we realized that we were lurked by the enemy. I asked the leader to take care of me, in order to go nearer to throw a grenade to the enemy. But the leader didn’t allow me and said: “you take care, I want to advance. So he went. After a few minutes he destroyed the enemy, and then we continued our route. We saw another entrenchment. It was more dangerous than the previous one. We were under fire by the enemy. The enemy had seen us. They were turning their hands. Many young fighters had suffered martyrdom. Their soul may rest in peace. We had about 20m distances with the enemy. We entered to the reed-bed from the side of the road. The leader sat in the form of half–raised, then showed a direction by signs and said to me:
”? Go with several persons from one side and see whether there is any way to destroy the enemy?”?
I became happy. I left along with four tall individuals. For once we advanced a little, and by passing the direction we understood the water has come up to our chests and on the other hand, we couldn’t do anything. We all returned. The leader wasn’t there. He had gone towards enemy along with several forces to attack them. While finding martyr’s body, we advanced between the trees and reed- beds and muddy water. We were being shot from that entrenchment. I looked for the missing but I didn’t find anyone.
I took myself to entrenchment that was our defense front line. Individuals of 1st company arrived as they were in good state or wounded. Everybody was inquiring about the company commander. When the air got light everything got light now.
It has been four years since we talked about VALFAJR Operation, then the name of "Ghorban Ali zamanipour" has become the talk of the town. His friends talk about their commander's bravery, about the prayer of that rainy night, about the individuals who prayed in twilight of that raining night while they were tired, muddy and wet, about the entrenchment which was destroyed with the breeze of queen’s wing, about his martyrdom.
