The fighters called my father “Karbalaee”?. One of BASIJs (volunteer) said: “martyr Karbalee made joke with all in spite of his old age. In one of Kurdistan operations while we were at war, and also were tired and confused, one of the members of the group said Karbalaee: “don’t you make jokes any more!”? to reply, martyr Karbalaee started to sing.
It was said that the Gojar region was inundated in BEIT-AL- MOGHADAS II operations. One of the BASIJs had fallen into the water, but Karbalaee had rescued him. One person was responsible for cooking in Kurdistan every night. One night he was the cook. When the tablecloth was laid and all members of the group started to eat, they recognized that the food had oil taste! After inquiring, they found out that Karbalaee had used oil instead of water. He said them to eat their food and don’t waste it.
At the end of winter in 1988, the height of snow was about two meters. He was the group commander as well as a machine gun man. He was in a good mood for those operations. He took her brother in his arms and said good-bye. He killed many of Iraqi soldiers by his machine gun. They moved forward, even martyr Karbalaee entered into Iraqi canals. The soldiers started shooting at him. He was injured. After exploiting a grenade in the canal, his hand was wounded and he was martyred finally.
