‘Third Day’ to be screened early June

TEHRAN, (SCIB) - The screening of the movie ‘Third Day’ is going to start early June in selected cinemas across the country.

‘Third Day’ is the first cinematic product of the foundation of martyrs and veterans’ affairs after the three institutions dealing with sacrifice were unified. ”?Dr. Khameyar, head of the research and cultural relations department of the foundation, told reporters. Based on a real story, the film aims to promote the culture of Sacrifice and martyrdom. The film portrays the last three days before the occupation of Khoramshahr. A brother and sister are trying to escape, but the sister fails to do so due to her broken leg. The brother hides her amid the soil of the flower bed, in order to help her escape in a proper moment. Pouria Pour Sorkh, Baran Kowsari, Hamed Behdad, Borzoo Arjomand, Shahrum Ghaedi, Mahdi Saba’ee and Majid Yasser star in this film. ‘Third Day’ received several prizes in Fajr film festival, including those for the best film, best direction and best actress.
