
TEHRAN, (SCIB) - Mohammad Hossein Latifi’s latest film “Third day”? is scheduled to go on screen in Tehran and provinces this summer. “The film will go on screen in Africa cinema group after screening of “Disguise”? is over”?, the film’s distribution manager, and Ali Sartipi told reporters. “We are hoping that the film will be successful in communicating with the audience, judging from the favor it won among viewers in Fajr film festival. “ “The third day”? depicts the last days of resistance in western Khoramshahr in 1980. Someyreh and Reza are siblings who are resisting the enemy like the rest of the citizens. Someyreh gets surrounded by the enemy troops and Reza and his fellow combatants struggle to set her free. The film won several awards in last year’s Fajr film festival including the award for best main actress. Baran Kowsari, Pouria Pour Sorkh, Hamed Behdad, Borzoo Arjomand, Majid Yasser and Mehdi Sabahi star in this film. “The dismissed”? has so far sold more than Rls 13,200,000,000 in Tehran and more than Rls, 10,000,000,000 in provinces. This is an unprecedented sales record in Iran despite the availability of pirated CDs and DVDs of the film in the market.”?
